The band
Formed in late 2005 in South London, the Horn
Stars features the traditional big band line-up of five
saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets, a rhythm section
of piano, drums, bass and guitar, plus vocalist.
Where we
play
Over the past three years the band has played gigs
throughout London and the home counties, notably at the 100
Club’s popular Stompin’ night, famous jazz venue the Bull’s
Head in Barnes and burlesque nightspot the Bethnal Green
Working Men’s Club in the East End. We’ve also played dance
balls for Jive Party at the beautiful Rivoli Ballroom,
Ginger Jive in Berkshire and Jive.com in Hertfordshire, as
well as charity balls, weddings, the Art Car Boot Fair and
the Southbank Centre.

Repertoire
The band covers
a wide range of music from swing classics through to Latin,
jazz, funk and pop styles. For a wedding, 1940s dance
night, Christmas party, celebration or corporate event we
are happy to tailor our set list to suit your requirements.
Whatever the occasion, the Horn Stars guarantee good music
and a great atmosphere.
